FAA Awards Advanced Sciences and Technologies (AS&T) additional Functional Areas (FAs) to their current Electronic FAA Accelerated and Simplified Tasks (eFAST) Contract
The FAA awarded AS&T additional Functional Areas (FAs) to their current eFAST Contract. The new FAs include Air Transportation Support (ATS), Business Administration & Management (BAM), Research & Development (R&D), Computer/Information Systems Development (CSD), Computer Systems Support (CSS), Documentation & Training (D&T) and Maintenance & Repair (M&R). These FAs are added to the previously awarded Engineering Services (ES) FA. FAA Awards contract to Advanced Sciences and Technologies (AS&T) for the ATC Automation Test & Evaluation Services
The FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey awarded a 5 year, $5.7 million contract to AS&T in support of the ATC Automation Systems used in the National Airspace System (NAS) by Air Traffic Controllers at EnRoute, Oceanic, and Terminal Facilities (including towers). This will also include T&E of ATC Automation Systems developed as part of the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen).
